I thought that Progress lives as more-or-less a traditional SQL database.
Please clarify...What is special about Progress ?

We need to buy a new server. Perhaps we should chill for a few months...
I gather that HP-Ux runs on Itanium now. What is IBM's timetable for
rolling out Itanium servers with AIX? When is UV targeted to run on
Itanium?

If I migrate from A to B [like HP-Ux to AIX] do all of the UniBasic programs
need to be recompiled in order to run on the target platform ?

Right now we are using UV v8.3.3 on HP-Ux v10.01.
When we upgrade both UV and the OS, will we need to reCompile all of our
UniBasic programs?

When I issue the following LIST command, there is are apparent bad
characters, ascii box drawing characters.
How can I clear them ? The two characters show up a single box below.
