RE: Jbase handles multivalue on RDBMS
I use Query Analyzer (a lot) as a TCL-like tool against MSSS, if that's what you're asking. Jim -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dawn M. I know that DataBASIC can be with jBASE and ONGroup, for example. --dawn -- u2-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.oliver.com/mailman/listinfo/u2-users

RE: Brower based terminal emulator
Vance: I can't find the info just now, but I have seen a java implementation of a terminal emulator that runs in a browser. It should pop up in Google rather readily. RE: recursive values
report name... street ... city Raven 1234 IRVINE A STREET Would like this name... street ... city Raven 1234 IRVINE Raven A STREET IRVINE BY.EXP STREET would separate your MV'd street field unacceptably. A quick & dirty would be to create I-Types for your "name" and "city" fields, each of which would DCOUNT the values in "street" and construct a MV'd repeating list of the name/city with a matching number of values. Make sure the new I-Types are defined as "M"ultivalued, and this should give you the output you are looking for. RE: [OT] RE: Out of office messages - from list?
What I was seeing was, when I posted a reply to the list I would receive OOO messages from a few folks directly to my email address (not via the list), with my post to the list referenced. Don't know if this is what Glenn had happen. What do you mean when you say "with my e-mail in them"? Are you saying that you are getting email that is unrelated to this list? Or are you saying that when you post to the list it comes back as an Out of office message? Or are you saying that you get messages that other people have posted with an OOO auto-reply? If it is the last then Clif has already asked that we fix our autoreplies, if the second then it is the "same as it has always been" and if the first then there maybe be something more serious going on -- ~ kevin zollinger [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- u2-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.oliver.com/mailman/listinfo/u2-users -- u2-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.oliver.com/mailman/listinfo/u2-users
RE: UV on SCO Unix
Are they going to have to support the application and provide upgrades after the migration? And do or assist with the migration? The unique variations can be bothersome if they make extensive use of O/S utilities and functions. If you're totally self-sufficient and this is just a paperwork thing, and they don't use "Unix" in the sense of a trademarked product name, you may be in the catbird seat. However, I'm no lawyer (thought I've done one or two other things in my life I'm not terribly proud of ). They messed up on the licensing agreement. They re-wrote the agreement to cover our existing situation and merely specifed "Unix". Right now, they regret the way they wrote this license agreement. They want customers to pay for a platform migration from anything to anything else. While I offered them $1k for a single sheet of paper, they want more like $10k. --Bill -- u2-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.oliver.com/mailman/listinfo/u2-users
RE: UV on SCO Unix
I guess what I'm saying is that HP-UX is a "flavor" of Unix. If they don't have a problem with you moving from HP-UX to SCO, they shouldn't have one if you choose AIX or Redhat or SuSE instead. I wonder if the restriction is there to cover them if you chose to move to Windows? RE: UV on SCO Unix
Wouldn't they make the same distinction between HP-UX and SCO Unix if they follow that logic? The license agreement says "Unix". The platform migration fee is ~$10k. I suspect that their lawyer would say that while Linux may be a flavor of Unix, we would still be on the hook to pay the migration fee.
