How to display a heading with a SELECT statement?

2004-04-13 Thread LeRoi Keiller
Hi

I have a client who has a paragraph that does a SELECT and sends the result
to a print queue. In other words, the results of the SELECT are a print
job. But how can we/she print headings with that SELECT?

Example code:

CT VOC UCA.WEEKLYAUDIT

 UCA.WEEKLYAUDIT
0001 PA
0002 SP-ASSIGN Q21 [or even better: HS]
0003 CHECK BALANCES
0005 LIST ACCOUNTS WITH ACTYPE = 13 _
0006 FULL.NAME A30 _
0007 HEADING Accounts with account type 13 (P
...

If there are no records to display, it says so, but no heading is produced.
The report should at least say BLAH BLAH REPORT, at the start, and end with
END OF REPORT.

Any takers?

Cheers,
LeRoi

Add FORCE to your LIST.

It's a very annoying UV feature ;-)

RE: Email report

2004-04-06 Thread LeRoi Keiller
It's such a stupid message, too: I mean, why would anyone disable an email
account (due to improper use) only to allow you to use it again if you
simply provide your account information?

This definitely was a virus that came out less than a month ago. I worked
with my
ISP as many users are not as aware as I. It originally had an attachment
that
was a zipped file that contained a virus. The virus cleverly(?)
incorporated the
domain name in the email body.

How to launch remote browser from UniVerse server?

2004-03-31 Thread LeRoi Keiller
Hi

I have a client (customer) who wishes to launch users' desktop browsers from
a UniVerse server.

1/ How can this be done (actual instructions, if possible)
So far, UniObjects has been mentioned and DDE - but, any other ideas. Or,
what are the instructions to actually do this?

2/ Once the above is possible, how could a UniVerse report be displayed in
the user's browser, for example?

Thanks,
LeRoi
