RE: [U2] Universe Windows XP
I know Ive been thru this before. I get the RPC service not running message in the uniadmin application. I looked in services and unirpc has been started. Something has to be tweaked and I forget what. I should mention that I am running Universe PE. The client isn't going to buy the real thing until the solution is sure to work. Don't know if this matters, but I thought Id mention it. RE: [U2] Universe Windows XP
I am doing some work on Universe using an intermec 2435 rf terminal. The screen size is 16X24 and its doing vt220 emulation. I set up the LOGIN, VOC record so that when a particular user logs in it does; SET.TERM.TYPE VT220 WIDTH 16 LENGTH 24 It still doesnt seem to 'fit' the small screen. Has anyone worked with this kind of a set up ? Yes, with no problems (at least on Unix). You might try VT100? Last, when you log into Universe on windows it always asks what directory (or account) you would like to go to. Is there a way to do away with this and make it so that the user goes to a preset account and doesnt get the choice ? You will always get this prompt when the user is administrator (or has admin rights). Try using a Non-admin User ID. --- u2-users mailing list u2-users@listserver.u2ug.org To unsubscribe please visit http://listserver.u2ug.org/
