I am just curious as to what has improved in Ubuntu 14.04 related to
accessibility. What has changed as far as Unity and

I wish that I could be more help in this situation. Seeing that it
[XPLike Ubuntu] is based off of Ubuntu 11.04, I am guessing that it was
using something prior to GNOME Shell, something n the GNOME 2.x cycle.
I have seen some distributions which try to present a Windows-like
desktop which
a more
accessible distro than Arch Linux. It takes a bit to set up, but once
it is going it runs like a dream.

I dual boot my laptop using IE on the windows XP boot and using Firefox

Seems to be a problem related to having IPv6 running on my laptop. I
wnet into the /etc/modprobe.d/aliales file and set the ipv6 to off and
then rebooted the laptop. I can not access the problematic websites,
e.g. www.ietf.org. Not sure why this is a problem all of a sudden.
