I just upgraded from Dapper to Edgy yesterday - and after reboot my wlan
(prism2 card) was not working. However blacklisting orinoco_pci and
prism2_pci in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist seems to do the work for me -
but an automatic solution would be preferable.

And now when I boot my computer, i get a plain old tty-looking boot
proccess, and instead of X.org starting, I get dumped to a virtual
terminal, from there I can login and startx just fine, but I

Bug #1027 have some comments on the choice of building with Lesstif or
OpenMotif. I know almost nothing, but I was under the feeling that when Ctrl-C
is pressed, nedit window is sometimes loosing focus when compiled with Lesstif.

benefit from the backspace = pageup and it's the hardcore unix users

And here is another patch, which fixes the handling of .desktop files
with a space in their name (amongst other uri-encodable characters).
The problem was that gnomvfs converts spaces to %20 encoding. I've

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
On a Sony FJ170 laptop, none of the sliders to adjust brightness under
GPM work under Edgy. They previously worked fine under Dapper, and other
battery-related information still displays properly. The sonypi module
is loaded properly,
This was intentional, as the redirect to /apache2-default/ appeared to
confuse the heck out of users when they went to edit their website
(which should be in /var/www)
Having the default site in a subdirectory (because we really
can't/shouldn't install and overwrite an index.html in /var/www) is
I have had this same issue, but when I attempt a full upgrade in
Synaptic, I get an error further down the line about xsession5 or
something! I have used Automatix to get backports etc, I wonder if
everyone else has done this too?

In the expert installer, you can't choose the font face you want to use,
because it doesn't show a reasonable width for the selection box.
Please see the attached screenshot to see that it's a zero-width field.

After one sync, connections to a Tungsten T3 device fails.
If you kill the gpilotd process, one can once again press the sync button on
the Palm and everything works.
It appears that the close of the first sync does not clean up

Rosetta is not capable of handling suggestions in a right way. They just
get lost there. So I would encourage to use the bug tracker. Assign the
bug to the correct language-pack please.

I've got a Sony Vaio FS285M (European code for FS660W) and my girlfriend
has a Sony Vaio FJ1S (European code for FJ170).
In both sonypi is loaded but isn't needed. I've read that new Vaios
doesn't have the special controller (chip) that uses sonypi, they have
all through ACPI and only is needed
