not the ondemand one. powernowd will automatically set this when

My specific problem of the laptop not suspending at all seems to be
caused by an incompatible configuration of the hibernate script. I
replaced my own version of /etc/hibernate/common.conf with edgy's
version and now suspend works at least sometimes ... On other times I
experience similar symptoms

Reason : libtdsodbc.so.0.0.0 doesn't exist at all !
It seems the 'tdsodbc' package does

Solved same problem otherwise (HP nw9440):
/etc/modprobe.d/ipw3945 tries to launch /sbin/ipw3945d-$(uname -r), but without
the linux-restricted-modules-generic, there is no (e.g.)
ipw3945d-2.6.17-10-generic only the ...-386. So
ln -s ipw3945d-2.6.17-10-386 ipw3945d-2.6.17-10-generic
