This reappears to me on a fresh Edgy install.
Running gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/share/icons/hicolor/
fixes the problem.. This has been reported in the Forums for several times.

Those errors can be ingored. They just mean a few modules didn't match
your hardware type. Since the list put into /etc/modules won't include
them, you won't see those errors at boot time.
Now, the big question, did doing this solve the fan issue for you?

I just updated to 6.10 and find that the altered behaviour of the
address field is very irritating:
1. When you enter a couple of words in the address field, it complains
about the input not being a valid http adress instead of looking up
these words using the default search

After upgrade dapper to edgy, my keyboard was not correctly mapped. The
system configuration files are correctly. They are point to abnt2 model,
but the problem is that I can't get the accents for latin character.

I can confirm this issue. I was thrown completely off track here. I
didn't guess that I had to press 'q' at all. Also, when I clicked on the
terminal widget (to look at the differences) and then clicked on the
'Modified configuration file dialog' again, the rendering of that dialog
became quirky
I'm attaching the dist-upgrade log file, as advised in the error
message.

I´ve an USB HArddrive which works fine in Ubuntu Edgy when it´s first attached
to the Computer. But when I remove it (no matter whether via eject or not)
and re-attach it it´s displayed up to for times on my desktop (Stuff
Stuff(1) Stuff(2) usbdisk).

After upgrading to edgy, Evolution is not able to create tasks nor
meetings on an exchange calendar.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Calendar (Exchange Calendar)
2. Right click on a time slot - New Task/New Meeting
3. Fill in Summary/Description

used to globally enable scim input even for non-CJK languages.
