Crash on startup
This is a bit problematic as i switched from AHCI-SATA to IDE-Emulation-SATA
mode in the BIOS.
Now the PC does a correct hibernate shutdown, but when waking up it hangs
there. I get the splashup and after loading a while it hangs up with an

with linux-image-2.6.20-8.14-generic (with ipw3945 1.2.0mp says dmesg)

I give a vote to this bug. I liked the old behavior, not only for the
Places menu, but also for the Tree and Places sidebar in Nautilus. I
have a second hard disk and now I cannot see it and have to search in
the /media folder.

Looks like you have drive seek errors in ddition to the lost CPU ticks.
I suggest you check the memory and HD. If you can reproduce this on a
later version of ubuntu after checking the hardware you should file a
bug against the kernel.

Florent, you are right. Commenting that block of tags you give (surround
it between !-- and --) and restarting I get the old behavior. Making a
diff between the Edgy file and the Feisty file (20-storage-methods.fdi),
it can be seen that this block is totally new, so if we complaint a
little

I have an Acer laptop with a Texas Instruments PCIxx21 Integrated FlashMedia
Controller.
I never tried the sdhci kernel module in dapper, but I can read SD cards
using tifm_sd kernel module in Edgy. The module is not loaded by default, I
just added it to /etc/modules.

I'm using Totem 2.17.91, on Ubuntu Feisty.
But I can't recall Totem ever resizing audio files... not in Edgy, not
in Dapper, not in Breezy.

Thanks for reporting and attaching logs. The OSError can sometimes be
caused by hardware problems or a squashfs bug we had before 6.10 final.
Could you test this with Ubuntu 6.10 or the development ersion (Feisty)?
