Binary package hint: dvd+rw-tools
I was trying to burn a DVD+R DL (7.1 GB image)... over a week ago i
could burn this type of DVD's.
I'm using Feisty and i have tried 2.6.20.10 and 2.6.20.9, but i think
when growisofs worked properly i was using 2.6.20.8.
This may be an issue with 2.6.20-10-server and native lsi as well.

Do you have another video player like mplayer, totem or xine installed?
If so could you test the same video files with those players? Thanks in

Thanks for fixing the initial drop.
I see the 0.67 sources. Sufficient for non-packaged installation. But,
when shipped as a packaged .deb, a SIGABRT core will be dropped
unconditionally, without having a chance to reach any error-reporting
tool. (Oddly enough, this is an incentive to NOT packa

As a workaround you can try this command which give access to your X session to
root:
xhost +
I don't know how to make this permanent, I am researching a similar bug.
If you find a solution please do report it here.

I use the default Ubuntu totem, so I think it's the totem-gstreamer.
Here's an example...

I'm sorry if it's in italian but anyway you'll clearly see that it
doesn't work...
Thanks for your help.
