I solved to problem by reinstalling the Nvidia driver. It seems the
upgrade changed something in the Nvidia files. The Nvidia uninstall
notified that a symbolic link was not found when the driver was
uninstalled.

I ran the upgrade tool successfully (I guess) but with some disturbing issues:
I had to delete one repo (third party) from the sources file because it
returned a 302 (temporarily moved) error and the upgrade script wouldn't
continue with this. After that it went through fine up to the point

It has crashed a few times sometimes it just disappears in an
instance, sometimes it sort of freezes then when I minimize the screen
I get a concentric pattern of rectangles on the screen and have to
kill firefox. Before I didn't get the bug reporting screen, this was
the first time that came up.

compiz.real crashes, possibly do to gnome-compiz-manager
Thank you for the patch. Please find below a couple notes from a quick
review.
1) Why is the Standards-Version being increased? It's not necessarily
incorrect, but it's generally good practice to at least note this type
of change in the Changelog.
2) Please consider altering the Maintainer
Thanks for your bugreport.
This problem is fixed in my local tree and the fix will be part of the
next upload.

I have also done all the tests of HPLIP 1.7.3 and did not find any
regression. Also the listed bugs which I could reproduce with HPLIP
1.7.1 are fixed now (menu/icon bugs, dynamically-created-PPDs-not-listed
bug, output-of-hp/hpfax-backends bug).
Printers are
- HP LaserJet 3390 AIO (Ethernet)

Problem still exists in Feisty Akregator (package 3.5.6-0ubuntu6 ).
I have a site, protected with .htaccess and it keeps asking for the
password with every reload of the feed. All other logins work, I think.

No, that's not the problem. You have 1.2.10b.
Does this happen always with the same feed, or with every one?

I can reproduce this behaviour, but I'm not sure it counts as a bug. If
you turn on an option to follow symlinks, you should expect a program to
follow them. Checking whether they are recursive isn't necessarily an
easy matter. And, as the output you attached here shows, unison does
produce an
401 - 500 of 2045 matches
