gedit is unable to reverse print. There is no option anywhere in the
print dialog to reverse the printing order.
Steps to repeat bug:
open a file in gedit, preferably a rather lengthy one. Lets say for
argument's sake that it is a 40-page

Yes, that's right. It's panel not toolbar :-). VLC really goes in
fullscreen when the top panel is at bottom, but, at least in my case,
the picture is shifted upwards and not bigger. It simply looks just a
little better. When I returned the panel back in the top position the
problem with VLC was

I downloaded an image (.jpg) and edited it in the Gimp, and then
saved/exported it as a .png. If I right-click on the desktop _ Configure,
it wouldn't set properly (as I've described). However, if I right-click on
the image and set as desktop, it does work.
I have the image on my computer at
Setting as confirmed as it's true . But I think it's not especially a
gedit lack it seems to be more a Gnome one . Try using the printing
option in all gnome application (using the gnome printing widget ) and
you'll get the same problem.

Unfortunately, I can't confirm that. Removing setserial and rebooting
didn't change anything on my machine. The udevd-event is still coming up
during boot up and the serial port still doesn't work.
By the way, when I boot from the Feisty release CD, it's the same thing
as with the Herds I tried

Your second kernel suggestion is an interesting idea but it proves to be a
support nightmare with all kernel testing having to be done twice, all kernel
builds having to be done twice etc. and you never know what subtle interactions
might occur in your new USB suspend disabled kernel.

over there. My guess though is that your monitor DPI settings are either not
being correctly read by the NVIDIA binary driver or
