A possible workaround for people that have this problem sometimes: sudo
/etc/init.d/dbus restart
Weird but it worked for me. It seems that dbus gets in some odd state
after a series of hibernations/updates.

I´m experimenting the same problem: DISK BOOT FAILURE after instaling
Ubuntu 7.04 on a hard drive with a previous Windows 2000 on C partition.
I keep my mothreboard´s BIOS up to date (A Gigabyte 865G in case it
means something). While I´m researching to find a solution, I´m leaving
a bootable CD
this is really strange. I did complete reinstall of Kubuntu Feisty Fawn
today and added options usbhid mousepoll=1 to /etc/modprobe.d/options
after applying all Feisty updates. Now the usb mouse polling rate is
500Hz.

Perhaps in 0.5.0 it was, but in 0.5.1, the -f option isn't boolean.
Having true after it results in it not starting. In fact, the existing
options of -s 1 -f -c /etc/LCDd.conf worked fine as of 0.5.1. The
driver path does still need to be changed though.

I did post a follow up saying that on another Vaio (albeit a much
newer/faster) LS21 that it does boot normally. A second burn did not fix
the problem on the original Vaio W-30.

I think it's a problem when the pdf files are converted to postscript
before printing. I downloaded Acrobat Reader 7 for linux and it prints
fine.
Trying to convert the file to ps format (pdf2ps) gives an erroneous
