Here is a long list of hardware-related bugs that affect Gutsy Tribe 4
x86_64 on a Thinkpad T61 with the following configuration:
- Intel GMA X3100 graphics
- Intel 3945 wireless
- 15 screen w/ 1680x1050 resolution
1. The initial install from the live CD graphical installer
I agree with the submitter.
The display of text before usplash reminds me of Win95/98 times.
It's just an opinion, but every major OS has moved towards this
trend of removing boot messages if everything is OK, and thus
making the boot process look a lot more polished.
GRUB should be made
I saw the same thing today when upgraded from feisty. Removing evms
fixed it. The CPU usage of udevd made my T23 almost unusable which could
be a real problem when trying to fix it.
