Well, i gave a it a shot. Seems that both the scripts/init-bottom/udev
script and the two subsequent mounts cause the segmentation faults. 3 in
total.
Could be that the pkill call inside the udev script is also managing to
segfault.
I'd set this to busybox.

i try to play an .avi file. the FF code library is installed, but i get the
message, that a codec to handle DivX 5 is needed.

Actually, I am not sure this is a bug in gnome-volume-manager, but a
consequence of the distribution policy regarding package “hal”, and more
exactly the file
/usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/20-storage-methods.fdi.

I haven't had problems connecting to SMB shares since Feisty was
released. I did occasionally have trouble with Nautilus crashing when
logging in to a Windows Server 2003 share but it's hard to reproduce.

switch to the VESA driver to get X up and running.
