Hello,
I am on Gutsy. The original complaint is likely wrong, in that executing
ifconfig tap0 0.0.0.0 up of course won't work, because tap0 will be
deleted again after the failure.
But /etc/kvm/kvm-ifup script is also most likely wrong, because it
doesn't give a bridge to brctl, but instead the
I sincerly doubt that the code can possibly work as it is. It's in
violation of the man page of brctl and I am the second to experience its
failure.

Ok the untranslated string is in gnome-panel instead of Nautilus.
Nautilus has the same string correctly translated. French does include
the translation, but some other languages like Finnish and Spanish do
not.
The string is simply missing from the language pack. The translations

Ok same thing has happened twice more and I was playing around in
console to try and figure out how to unlock the screen so everything
would work again and I suceeded finally!
Here's all you need to do, switch to a console, login under the user
logged in and type the following 3 commands:
export

diffing a working and a non-working gconf I found out that evolution
2.10.1 uses an attribute color where 2.12 uses color_spec. But
changing these settings to color did not change anything.
