For me it's simply a matter of start rhythmbox, click the update all

I have this issue too - not terribly often, but it happens. Firefox
sometimes greys out for a bit, which is normal, but sometime instead of
responding again with color, it responds still greyed out. A temporary
fix is to restart firefox.

Compiz is certainly an interesting wm. After 4 days of testing (since
your comment) with metacity, I've come to the conclusion that you have a
point (i.e. that compiz is an issue).
Under metacity, when I click a tab or hit a conversation menu I get a
pause of 1.5 seconds + before the operation
I saw this too in the Gusy RC DVD; the mount point list is only empty in
the New partition dialog; the Edit partition dialog offers a list.
Setting importance to low as it's still relatively easy to use.

the migration-assistant page using the latest daily desktop CD

As these are updated, please make sure that the description of xbase-
clients and xutisl no longer includes any reference to them being
transitional packages. They are currently used as meta-packages, not

Good, now the picture is much more clear. I guess the problem is that the
engine removes/applies tags and that makes re-wrapping harder (text styles
change text width/height, so it's worse than simple text with no styles at all).
If anyone feels like playing with it, profiling would be of great
