I think this is due to the fact that libxpcom(_core).so lives in
/usr/lib/firefox, and is missing an appropriate entry to
/etc/ld.so.conf.
For example - I'm running gutsy, and the following worked well:

I don't seem to understand the problem. Simply by installing the package
vim you have both, vim and vim.tiny.
ls -l /usr/bin/vim* shows:

the -ati driver fix for this bug. Please update if you are running

some sort), the cells involved should get a colored line
around them (in this case A1:A10; so you can see where
Vesa driver should work, and from 7.10 onwards there is the NVIDIA
proprietary driver that supports GF8800GTX. The free nv driver seems to
lack support at the moment.
