xev shows an incorrect state variable when this bug occurs - it is set
to zero.

0x2000 and OR'd with 1,2,4,8 for each of the modifiers, ie:
0x2000 - no modifiers
0x2001 - shift key
0x2002 - caps lock key
0x2004 - control key

Here is the patch to fix the garbled text on systems using UTF-8. It
should be applied against the 3.2 sources to which
xaos_3.2-7ubuntu1.diff has already been applied. I have not had a
chance to test it yet.

But CONFIG_FAIR_USER_SCHED causes _desktop_ regressions! Why is
CGROUP_SCHED being considered the risky change, when it's the default
upstream, and USER_SCHED is the option that changes behaviour from
previous kernels?

I confirm the same leak at any *.mkv (media in matroska container) file
of decent size. Small files do not cause noticeable leak, seems it's
somehow depend on file size.
Cannot detect this bug at any *.avi file, though.

/dev/input/wacom exists and appears to be linked to the proper event.
Also when pointing wacdump at either /dev/input/wacom or the linked
event*, the expected tablet info is displayed (only non-functional).
Pointing wacdump to the other devices there does not show any recognized
device.

Have a ComproMate TV card with saa7130 chipset on machine too.
Blacklisting saa7134 allows kernel to boot to desktop.
Problem solved for me for now.

I have this same thing happening to a few of my (I think 32 bit)
applications. Note that a small experiment with the calculator shows
that the value given (17179869180.0 GB) is exactly
((2^64-2^32)/(1024^3)) as in, it's what happens when you do
memory&0x, and memory happens to be a 64 bit
I did indeed mess it up (for all architectures). The patch didn't get
into debian/patches/00list.
Here is an updated debdiff.
Ari, please try the audacious-plugins ~ppa3 (ppa_three) packages in my
PPA.
These fix the problem for me with your test file, even on amd64. Sorry
for the confusion.
