can confirm this is an issue. Hardy does not detect my ThinkPad X61T as

I'm having the same problem. All my USB devices as fine for months then,
suddenly, my M$ wireless mouse stops working. The funny thing is, the
keyboard and the mouse use the same receiver, and my keyboard is fine

Actually, moving 'sudo' to background using '&' is not an intended use
of the sudo-program. if you intend to invoke programs like synaptic,
please consider using gksudo instead.
After resurfacing the password prompt, sudo acts as it should do.

Given that it works ok in metacity, and all the X options tested made no
difference, and that the Expose plugin seems to have a role here, this
probably needs to be looked at by a compiz person first, so reassigning
package.
