busybox with udevd-event sbin/modprobe abort abnormal error message.

due to the fantasy uuids, the system was unable to boot. I had to boot
from a live-cd and fiddle with grub-install to fix this.

laptop, where I am experiencing Bug #217685 (seems to be an issue with
the keyboard of my laptop). My workstation accepts Ctrl+Alt+Del after a
single click in the vnc window, so logging on to a locked M$ box is no

I'm terribly sorry, Sebastian, but after a reboot today in the morning
everything started to work seamlessly again (logoff/logon didn't help, I
tried it several times yesterday). I don't even know how to reproduce

FYI - I played with Kubuntu 8.04 briefly on my son's computer yesterday,
and noticed that it DOES have NFS has an option when you enable Sharing.
Why would this have still been included there, but left out of Ubuntu
8.04?

I can also confirm this behavior.
I have tried to remake the behavior that used 100% of the CPU, but couldn't.
When it was eating the process power, I did a CTRL ALT BACKSPACE and logged
back in again, but it didn't help, I had to restart the computer to kill the
