Better to leave the garmin_gps blacklisted and use
gpsbabel -t -i garmin -f usb:
instead. The driver was blacklisted, because most newer programs use the

I can confirm the workaround from mejogid. I had notice the noise from
the pc speaker as well, but since I could not find the pcspkr module I
was not able to disable it. Turns out this was the snd_pcsp module. No
wonder I could not find it. I am logging in fine now on Intrepid Alpha 2
on Vmware

should get rid of any Ubuntu delta. We therefore need new descriptions
for the Debian package. They must fit well with Debian's situation and
still be useful and correct for the Ubuntu situation. I agree this is

Try to change the font in /etc/default/console-setup and set a bigger font than
the default one:
FONTFACE=Terminus
FONTSIZE=24x12
If you do then /etc/init.d/console-setup restart it'll give you an error.

know did some testing with gpsbabel and qlandkarte. For me, it works now out of
the box (the garmin_gps is blacklisted with reference to this bug).

Well, i've solved it by manually creating the 'medit' directory under
/home/~username/.local/share/ , restart medit and after that it could
successfuly save the config file.
