applications menu. In my case, I had to manually edit the XML file found
in /usr/share/applications for some applications. Blender might be one
of them. What is in the file /usr/share/applications/blender-
fullscreen.desktop?

Adding irqpoll to your bboot options should solve the issue. I had the
looping sound issue as well as intermittent wi-fi issues on my MSI
Vr320. Adding irqpoll solved everything. I am now running 2.6.26 on a
Debian Lenny/Testing, but this fix should be fine on Ubuntu as well.

I wanted to test the new test release of ubuntu on my notebook:
1) I booted with alpha5 LiveCD (amd64)
2) start the LiveCD normaly - stopped somewhere,
so my acpi probelm isn`t solved with new kernel... (the curent ubuntu 8.04
starts up only with acpi=off param)

should tick it to stop receiving errors on that particular issue, which

A 300GB Caviar SE PATA drive attached using a USB-IDE bridge cable gave
the following transfer speeds when copying files using Dolphin:

(b) the module apparently exists, but has been held back for *weeks* with no

resolves the problem. Where can I find this version?
As I said, from Citrix technical support. I suggest that you get in
touch with the administrators of the Citrix hosts that you are using and
ask them to get you build 10.38
Addition to the above: ask for the Debian package of 10.38 or later.
That should fix any problems caused by files that are not part of the
Debian package system.

I have installed intrepid alpha5 using the LiveCD to the hard disk.
When booting it from the hard disk just after selecting the booting
kernel in grub and starting the kernel load the system will hang. The
screen is flashing with a red color.
I think probably is an issue
I have downloaded Ubuntu 8.10 Ibex i386 desktop (intrepid-
desktop-i386.iso) and server (intrepid-server-i386.iso) and installed
them on a Via PD6000E motherboard. Both installed and started up.
The problem as originally reported appears to be resolved and this bug
can be closed.
