I can confirm this to!
but my situation is slightly different.
I use firefox3 with flash 10 in a terminal server env.
When i start a video at youtube my firefox behaves horrible. a few seconds lag
in the menu's.
When i disable hardware accel it doens't change a thing.

I think it is unacceptable an EULA in a Free Software system as Ubuntu, and
I think a package in main repository shouldn't have any EULA to accept.

Reply from Ted Tso on the linux kernel mailing list. Includes a
suggestion for live cd (two version, either run e2fsck automatically or
provide a way of not mounting disk filesystems) and another for patch
kernels.

Same problem here on Heron 8.04 with compiz-fusion on GNOME with emerald
window decorator. Every time I open firefox it has this problem. I'm
not sure if its directly related, but I think this problem appeared when
I downloaded the latest compiz update through the update manager. Using
