I have been following this bug since a very similar thing has happened to me.
I'm running Kubuntu Hardy Heron with all updates applied. Kernel 2.6.24-21 is
in place. As recently as 2 - 3 weeks ago I was able to burn cd's and dvd's
with no problem. Could play dvd's that I burned, didn't try

Basically Nick stated that he will not fix it in 4.4 as the bug (at least for
for me) does not appear in 4.6 beta (4.5.91).

it occured when using human-netbook-remix theme - and it is still a problem for
the netbook remix.

On Hardy clone your print queue with the Copy function in system-
config-printer. Give the name x to the copy. Then run the commands

I have solved this problem for me by using a private keyfile with a
password associated to it which I didn't have before. Now the button
isn't grayed out and I'm able to successfully establish a connection.

Hi,
Your jaunty patch appears to be incorrect, it leaves the patch trying to remove
commented lines and put in uncommented ones. Did you reverse the patch
while trying to update it?

It happens to me out of the box with Intrepid. This is on an MSi Wind,
so I suppose the underpoweredness of the machine is an important
factor. But this should not happen. It is particularly noticable here,
with almost any webpage. For instance in this launchpad page, if I'm at
