From looking at the nv forums, it seems that the suspend/resume issues
with the current 180.xx drivers are quite widespread. Until there is a
fix (from nv or a workaround from Ubuntu) it's impossible to get too
excited about this!

i've found a workaround for my problem.
It's simple, i'm running the kernel with acpi=off and now i can use my
keyboard or any other bluetooth device without any problem. Xorg doesn't
break anymore, everything appears as it should.
however, i still get the message:

I had an issue (tracked in bug 261721) where adjusting brightness caused
loss of most keybord functionality, thankfuly updating to a proposed
linux-image fixed that problem, but sadly broke my on screen indicator
for brightness.

Thank you for your bug report. Although I believe what you're saying, I
can't confirm the bug as I don't have enough users on my desktop. It
would be great if you could attach a screenshot of the problem before I
confirm it.

Is it possible that your sound system settup changed while upgradeing.
That might have caused problems with libsdl as you have to have correct
libsdl1.2debian-sound system package installed.

1. There is unexpected behaviour using (nautilus + gvfsd-sftp).
2. Sebastien says gvfsd-sftp is behaving as it is designed to do.
3. Therefore nautilus is the likely source of the unexpected behaviour.

This is affecting me in Kubuntu Intrepid (SVGs open in Inkscape by
default, but only with .svg extensions, not with .svg.gz or .svgz).
Will this patch help us KDE 4 users?

Removing the check is clearly not a permanent solution, I figured it could help

I think I was accidentaly able reproduce this bug:
1. Enable pulseaudio server
2. have libsdl1.2debian-alsa installed (or any other non-pulse compabitile
sound system)
3. run wesnoth and freeing sound device blocks in same mutex call as reported
here
work around for me:
Use correct sdl sound
linux-image-2.6.24-23-server_2.6.24-23.46_i386.deb
works for me
