I installed ubuntu 8.10 inside windows XP using wubi installer. This
crash does not occur in it. The I did a full system update and

Pretty simple. Emulate windows behaviour, by allowing the win key (
keycode 133 (keysym 0xffeb, Super_L) ) to be used as a global shortcut
without other keys (ie. allow it to not be treated as a modifier key).

I am experiencing the same ATA errors (Emask..), and have tried numerous things
without finding a solution yet.
The following is the case:
- the fact that Emask errors are occurring is not obvious, initially the
problem just shows as HALD hanging when starting. But when disabling that
