I downloaded the native MySQL 5.0.75 source directly and tried to
compile it separately, without any of our patches and special options.
A build based on this simple configuration ./configure --with yassl
results in the exactly same build tests failing.

HP Pavilion dv5: ATA exception on
I can confirm this on a AOA 110 with Xubuntu 8.10. The workaround works
fine. I noticed a large rectangle shaped box about 3 by 5 cm (h x w)
that freezes a few seconds after the power cord is disconnected and also
when its connected. It stays for a few minutes. The box keeps displaying
whatever

I have several workstations (clnt1, clnt2, clntx) with several user
accounts on each of those (usr1, usr2, usry).
If, for example, usr1 on clnt1 changes the main volume to half and then
logs off, for the next user to log in on clnt1 (f.e. usr2), the maximum
physical volume

Okay, I just noticed that I already have the latest v1.3601 BIOS
installed , so the above suggested BIOS update is not possible. However,
the update to the 2.6.27-11-generic kernel (as suggested by Ubuntu's
update manager) has solved this problem here. The fan now runs smoothly
at a constant
OptimusHippo, when do you at first experience the problem with the
workspace switcher applet? Was it on a quite fresh installation of
Uubntu 7.10? If not, maybe some configurations caused this issue. It
would greatly help us if you could give us some steps to reproduce this.
