Two things: I am fairly new to linux, and I have been working on this

I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 card. I have tried every method
on every forum I could find. No matter which driver (restricted or
open) that

will get rid of the confusion I suppose. Also how about showing all the

I've had the same problem with Jaunty on 64bit, kernel 2.6.28-8-generic x86_64
and everybody else up to date.
Problem is, as other people here, about first of all the machine locking up
completely (still image, mouse freeze too and no hd activity at all) and ext4
data corruption
I compared the commits to Jaunty ecryptfs versus 2.6.29-rc7 and found
these differences (e.g. ecryptfs commits missing in Jaunty):
fs/Kconfig: move ecryptfs out
add a vfs_fsync helper
inode->i_op is never NULL

I don't understand it.
The latest version "boost" is 1.34 :

Zamot, since you are the original bug reporter, I'll go ahead and close
this since you mention its solved. However, it would be good to
elaborate with the rest of the bug subscribers here what has resolved
the issue.
Everyone else should note that this really is likely hardware specific

No, this is different. PrntScrn and SysRq are on the same button, but I can
use them separately. To use PrntScrn, I have to hold Shift in addition to
Fn. Otherwise it registers as SysRq.

Here's the log just after boot... although, there is a second kernel
error which does arise, but i believe it arises from this first one. (

version of Empathy from a PPA, to Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope, on which I'm
