screen is lost and the boot continues with text only. Installations are
from desktop alternate CD:s, amd64 when possible and i386 otherwise. On

I did an update today and I still have that same crackling problem with
my sound. Even the login sound is crackling now. I hear some oscillating
sound all the time, except when I do a Mute or disable the PCM source.

this is not a wishlist thing. This is an annoying bug that was/is not
present in 8.04.2 but in Jaunty and 8.10!
The soundcard is incredibly loud and you cannot do anything except
taking out the cable which is not a viable solution for the 21st
century.

For some reason update-grub stopped writing changes to menu.lst so i ended up
with an old kernel and did not realize.
Deleting menu.lst and let update-grub recreate it fixed that Problem.
CPU Scaling works with current kernel, sry for reporting this bug prematurely.

I think something has gone wrong because none of those commands do

1) I have one interface which is dynamically assigned via DHCP (upstream to my
ISP)
2) I have a second interface which is statically assigned (my local LAN

I have the issue described and I am running Jaunty Netbook Remix beta on
my Dell Mini 9. The issue is little more than cosmetic because I can't
turn the brightness all the way up or all the way down. For example, if
I press and hold the brightness down key combo, the brightness will
never drop
I also have this problem. I can pair the mouse and keyboard using sudo
hidd -s but they still do not pair on start up as of Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit.
I've followed posted instructions for getting them to pair on start up,

This appears to be an install error rather than a bug - Grub error 15 is
a file not found error - and more information would be required to fix
it.

I'm getting the same error. I wonder why they produce it as an oops, as
it causes a lot of false bugs. Essentially, there is a bug either in
the kernel (for false oopses which cause serious kernel warnings) or in
kerneloops and other helper apps for not understanding them.
