After looking at the kernel source, I realized that wasn't an oops... it
was just a stack trace warning that was triggered by the resume taking
too long (but it unfortunately doesn't identify exactly WHAT made it

Exactly the same happening for me after upgrade to Jaunty. BusyBox
returns every time. The known rootdelay=90 workaround doesn't work. Grub
recognizes the partitions correctly right from the start, and the UUIDs
are proper, but kernel fails to find the root drive.

I can confirm the bug with the ATI Technologies Inc Radeon RV250
[Mobility FireGL 9000] (rev 02) - Graphics Card.
The Xorg.log for the first display says:

We talked some more and he found steps to reproduce it!
1) start xine
2) turn off the window borders (hit 'b')
3) quit xine
4) borders should disappear
starting xine with the -B flag also triggers it.
Starting xine without the B flag or quitting xine with borders enabled
brings the panel instant

I should be a bit clearer. I am not sure if acroread was updated when I
upgraded to Jaunty, although I did keep my installation current up until
I upgraded on 4/23/08.

After upgrading to Jaunty, acroread (9.1.0) now takes all available cpu
cycles. I did not have this problem while running Hardy or Intrepid.

When I'm trying to strace firefox, strace crash due to memory corruption:

This same issue is now affecting Jaunty, which means that it's so far
affected hardy, intrepid and jaunty.
I was wondering how things were going with resolving this issue? It's
making it impossible to compile Cisco's VPN kernel module.

Intrepid regression: carri
I've upgraded from Intrepid to Jaunty and I have the problem too.
With Intrepid, all beeps came from the internal pc speaker. In jaunty it
comes from my sound-card speakers. I do not want to disable beep, I just
want it back to my internal pc speaker. Any ideas how?
