It looks like X cannot properly detect this monitor. If you look at
Xorg.0.log you will see nothing pertaining to detected modelines, etc.
Whereas on my home desktop PC, it works great and shows all the
modelines.

Sorry, I'm not able to reproduce the bug. The nautilus window just crashed
randomly with no effects on stability. If it does happen again, I'll try to

mozilla plugins are not packaged
It could be an extension causing this problem, as I see that you've
installed some 'experimental' add-ons such as FasterFox etc. I don't
think FasterFox extension is compatible with Firefox 3.0. Maybe you
should create a new profile and remove extensions and see if that makes
any difference.

was that before the fix, the wireless would not activate itself
automatically after switching on and off the killswitch. It didn't fix
the issue of activating if the killswitch was enabled before suspend,

Oh oh oh it's magic, ya know :-) I have a feeling one of the mimetype
libraries had a bug in it. We'll be updating to 9.1.2 soon, and will

No improvement in Karmic ~Alpha2, liferea 1.4.26-0ubuntu1, sqlite3
3.6.14.2-1. Starting liferea took 30min until I finally lost patience
and killed it. That's with an empty ~/.liferea_1.4 folder and ext4 on a
(admittedly rather slowish) SSD.

It seems Liferea is not listening to NM at all. Changing the state in

I've found the same problem!
I have an IBM thinkpad X31. I had Gutsy 7.04 and everything was just
perfect. Since its end of life I have been looking for the best release
for me.
I went directly to the latest release 9.04 where I had a lot of problems,
including this exact same problem.

I've run Gparted from Ubuntu 9.04 64bit live disc in the same machine where I
had the problem, and now it's simply OK: resizing/move/create/delete
partitions, all the stuff works as it should.

Disabling fsync() doesn't help anymore in Karmic because Sqlite3 seems
to have switched to fdatasync() by default. Disabling fdatasync does the

I have an ibm thinkpad X31. Gutsy 7.04 was working perfectly. EOL made me
change release.
Hibernate never worked again in any of the other releases 8.04, 8.10, 9.04,
showing the strangest behaviors. If it actually got to hibernate it would hang
on wake.
Suspend to RAM
Try
sudo apt-get purge adobe-flashplugin
see if that removes:
/usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so
you'll have to run
sudo updatedb
to update locate
if not, remove that file and then start firefox

Binary package hint: usplash
Karmic latest, on my Dell Latitude X1, booting (to GDM I guess) takes
29s without and 42s with usplash enabled. Examining the bootcharts
reveals that usplash is just maxing out the CPU 13s for no apparent
reason. I'd expect usplash to be as
