For those who have the mouse working but not the keyboard (after issueing a
hidd --conect BT-MAC ), here is

synaptics driver.
After uninstalling the synaptics driver:

When you use multiple PPA, you often have a lot of warning regarding
unknown keys. It's because it's hard to add a key, even more if you only
know the ID displayed in the error.

clean update from hardy. I just purged the installation and reinstalled
it so you can see if there is anything usefull.

Actually, for me it only detects UTF-8 and Latin-15. I even tried to
open a KOI8-U text file on gedit, and it was rendered as Latin-15.
Perhaps it depends on the locale?
While a fix is released, here's a workaround:
1- Open the text file with Firefox.
2- Select the correct character encoding.

resolve this issue. Are there some more recent packages I should/could test?
Is this something that I should send upstream, or is the delta too big? And
is the information attached sufficient, or do I need to provide
joebodo, I've been seeing this problem for almost two years the time since when
I switched to Debian/Ubuntu.
This occurs when you'll keep your rdesktop windows minimized for about 20-30
mins. This is something I feel that Gnome/Rdesktop does and not the client
machines you're connecting to.

I can't currently replicate the issue between a hardy client and a
jaunty server (the original problem occurred when connecting to an
intrepid server). As such, I would agree that the problem appears to be
resolved.

We don't gain a thing from the simplified login screen, however, I really like
it.
But please, don't let the newbies get frustrated before their very first
login...

Username/Password entry confusing
Latest updates brought HW acceleration back, works fine now. Sorry for

[i945] (Jaunty) Eschalon Book I runs only in windowed mode and it's terribly
...except that the upstream bug linked here does not deal with the
present problem at all, and never has. It is now marked as Fix Released
since I committed patches for that, but these patches are not related to
our problem which *is only in Ubuntu packaging*. Upstream has nothing to
do with this
I also have this problem. When I start Base it crashes immediately. I
use jaunty (9.04) in which base is not installed by default.
