When you use metacity composting you are not enabling any 'Extra'/additional
visual effects. As others have already reported, this is the issue. Simply
turning off additional visual effects isn't an answer or solution, it's a poor
workaround. Vino seems to think that they have resolved the issu

I gave karmic a spin, and this bug is still an issue. Started inkscape,
rendered a gear, clicked on the 3dbox tool, clicked in the drawing area,

problem after reboot : in the attachement 'log-mysql'
i stop apparmor sudo /etc/init.d/apparmor stop
i edit /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysql and change the path to /var/bin/mysql (my
database is other place)
i restart apparmor sudo /etc/init.d/apparmor start
and sudo /etc/init.d/
Works for me on latest Karmic:

The gnome-panel in Karmic consumes a constant 15% CPU. Other problem
include:
a) The panel at the bottom shows a bunch icons for things which aren't there.
b) The number and configuration of the icons in the panel is constantly
changing.

Thilo, I just noticed your repo to test, but I'm using qt 4.5.1 already
and your version is 4.5.0. Will your patched 4.5.0 work for kde 4.3
RC2, which had been using qt 4.5.1?
This is an important bug to me because it's basic functionality that I

OK, Lot's of help from wayne_cat and one of the peeps from wireless.org.
At the suggestion of their install page I also removed linux-backports
before "sudo make install".Was able to build and install compat-
wireless-2009-07-12.tar.bz2 then rebooted the computer but still no
wireless.
Ran sud
