I just upgraded to the 1.09 BIOS also. I've got 2 gigs of ram and dual
boot XP so just used the updater exe from Acer without any problems.

I did an upgrade from jaunty to karmic, and did not hit this problem.
The current version is a bit newer (2.10.1-0ubuntu2). There's nothing
obvious in its preinst script that would indicate failure.
If you can reproduce this, could you run the preinst script with the -x
option so we have a chance

Seems like 0.7.4-0ubuntu2 disappeared when 0.7.4-0ubuntu3 got uploaded
since it weren't pushed to the bazaar branch and 0.7.4-0ubuntu3 was
based on the version in the bazaar branch

Let me add that I would also be glad if the firmware loading mechanism
could be directly integrated into Ubuntu without having to create an own
initramfs-tools hooks. However, as many people were already asking in
other fora how to create such a hook, here is the one I created as /etc

The kernel is 2.6.31.5, which is new today. This is also the first day

I have the same problem : i write the tag but i don´t have the changes in the
mp3 ( or mp4) file.
I checked the flag in the preferences.
I found the only way for committing changes is open banshee, DON´T listening to
any song and do the changes to tags.
this seems to me pretty weird

Attached is a debdiff for xscreensaver cutting down the number of savers
installed.
In order to actually cut it down to just the 12 listed above we'd need
to remove gnome-screensaver's recommends on rss-glx. Also gnome-
screensaver shouldn't install Cosmos, Picture Folder, and Floating Feet
