remember the Print Settings in File\Print... after the last printed

I noticed when I unplugged the power cable, notification-osd told me I
have 8 hrs 10 mins left of battery, at 99,7% That's waaay too much.
Then, 2 minutes later, it's reporting 1 hr 15 mins, now 1 hr 45 secs
(95,9%)

Empathy is not in the notification area anymore with the latest updates,

TTF Bitmaps are such a bad thing - that's what this bug is all about.
The screenshots above demonstrate what using the embedded bitmaps looks
like: Windows 2000. Most people don't want that.
PNG icons look good because they're designed to display nicely

Nothing I plug into my USB ports is recognized, unless it was already
there at boot, including flash drives, mice, etc. When I unplug my USB
mouse and plug it back in, it isn't recognized, and I don't even get a
message about it in dmesg. This all works fine under Jaunty.

Would it make sense to keep separate caches for each language that is
used? That way if a machine is frequently used by two or more
administrators that use different languages, they won't constantly be
waiting for regeneration of the cache that was generated by the other.

Chris: Thanks, maybe I'll go with the second one. Don't worry for
Karmic, though - the notice can be hidden without too much trouble,
since not many users will try to change the UID of a logged in user. The
important part was preventing them from playing with that inadvertently.
