about the EC is the cause. From the many reports it seemed to get more and more
obvious that the IRQ override for IRQ0 is the common problem. So the ACPI BIOS

Just to clarify... this was working with the Wine1.2 version of wine
(1.1.29) from the Karmic repo 2-3 weeks ago, and since I've seen the

and the gdm screen showed eliminate dead keys yesterday but today I
logged in and the variant got lost again.
got lost - it was wrong in gdm, or in the session? Was the gconf key
changed by gdm again? What did echo $GDM_KEYBOARD_LAYOUT say?

Please retest this in eclipse 3.5.1. You probably have to remove your
~/.eclipse for it though and may also have to use an empty workspace.

This looks similar to a recent fix in brasero. Do you have libbrasero-
media 2.28.1-0ubuntu1 installed? Can you please upgrade your system to
current karmic (you seem to run beta) and check again?
