just adding AGPSize 64 to my existing xorg.conf (taken from

kms and without downgrading libgl1-mesa-dri.
I'm now using Extra Visual Effects at the same speed it was on jaunty
(or at least I can't notice differences in browsing,

There are enough accounts to suggest that users should not try to
upgrade BIOS in the attempt to work around this problem. It won't work.
There are several options to work around it:
1. Disable gnome-power-manager (or for xubuntu, xfce4-power-manager). This will

I would suggest that the kernel is probably now fixed, but a number of
people are still having trouble with Network Manager.
My recommendation is to install wicd, which will uninstall NM, to see if
