Hi uwe. I believe that recompiling your kernel every time it's updated
is a less than ideal solution. If the ath5k driver works for you that
process would be unnecessary.
Since you are using madwifi I'm sure your ath5k is blacklisted in
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-ath_pci.conf and in

I can confirm this issue. I'm having exactly the same problem. Files
deleted from network shares mounted as CIFS (with pam_mount) are not
visible in the trash. The only way to get the space back is to display
hidden folders, and manually empty the .trash-uid folder.
It's quite annoying.

After a lot of testing with hellanzb and LottaNZB, I found the reason
why this is happening. The problem is that IF the downloaded NZB file

My equipment is the same as before. Now, after upgrade from jaunty (9.4)
to karmic (9.10 on ext3) brasero multisession works fine with CDs and
DVDs. When I insert a blank DVD, now the option leave the disk open is
no longer grayed out and I succeeded in adding files to a mulitisession-
DVD, that
FWIW: I have a Compaq Presariu CQ60-211DX, and I did the distribution
upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10, and I have the same issue. All the other Fn
key combos work properly, but Fn+F6 doesn't lock the screen as it
should.

Today I burned a DVD (just straight data files on it) and that ejected OK.
The ones that didn't eject were all audio CD's, with mp3 and wma files as input.

OK, sorry, but I may need some help in obtaining the requested logs: on
jaunty I had the thin clients set up to send their logs to the server in
specified client subdirectories, using syslog-ng. Karmic uses rsyslog by
default, and I haven't yet figured out how to open this up for external
logging.
The comment #15 mentioned above is mine. For me the issue is solved in
kubuntu karmic koala 9.10, but not in my Archlinux :( with same kernel
and same kde version.

different sound driver than i used in 9.04

with an identical one from another laptop. Somehow that got the charging

I finally got my e6500 back from dell repair. My laptop had 3 buttons on
the trackpoint and 2 for the touchpad.

Since I wanted to play a bit with glade+gtkpython and I was missing a
mean to manage services through the GUI, I spent a couple of days to
make an upstart graphical front-end ServiceManager which is in

Hi Janne,
I also seem to have some RAID remainings on the disk. See attachment. I
tried your work-around but I still get the same problem in the

This bug hasn't seen any real activity in a few years. The releases it was
confirmed on are EOL now.
Dmitriy's issue is a separate issue, and it's most probably a hardware issue.
Dmitriy: if you are still experiencing your issue please verify it is not a
hardware bug - check if it works the same
