I had this same problem and here's how I fixed it. The Sansa Clip will
work in MTP or MSC (mass storage) mode. Go into settings and change the
USB mode to MSC. This worked for me. Good luck, all!

I experience the same problem both on latest Ubuntu and Debian Squeeze.
I'm working on the latter now. The Firefox is downloaded from Firefox'
homepage, my pc architecture is x86, GPU: nvidia with latest drivers
from nvidia's homepage (190) and uname is as follows: Linux debian
2.6.30-2-486 i686
As someone mentioned that a workaround is installation of Fedora 12 I
have to confirm that it also work on Mandrake 2010, to me it is more of
a kernel driver problem than anything else. Both Fedora and Mandrake
have later kernel versions than Karmic and it works on them. Ubuntu 9.10
and OpenSuSE

submited in previous comment needs to be changed because Esperanto
locale is no longer eo_XX.UTF-8 but it is now eo.UTF-8.
So in files /usr/share/X11/locale/compose.dir and

Print preview does not take print options into account
I can confirm this on both Ubuntu Karmic and Linux Mint Helena.
If I set Application Font to ANY size with a decimal point in it, such
as 13.5, the NotifyOSD messages become extremely small and unreadable.
Size 10, messages look like size 10, nice and readable.
Size 10.5, messages are almost
I also have the same problem in Karmic - cannot automatically mount data
cd-roms.

But about every touchpad is a Synaptics touchpad and for the great mass
of laptop users this will solve the problem. Tough it is true that if
the user chooses to use edge-scroll or has some custom hardware this bug
will still persist.
