I started having this problem like 6 months ago when I was using Xubuntu
9.10. Short of restarting the Xserver nothing would fix it. I tried
removing all my configuration files and starting clean but it still came
back so i gave up on Xfce thinking it was the problem and installed
Kubuntu 10.04

Actually, that fix was incorrect in my opinion.
The bug was related with gcc 4.3 and HDF 1.8.1 and the fix was about new HDF
1.6 package.
However, since ubuntu moved to gcc 4.4 and HDF now 1.8.4 and there are
no such compilation issues, this bug is really obsolete.

On my Nvidia Geforce Go 6100, the text in the Ctrl Alt Fx consoles
flicker. By flicker, I mean that the text moves up and down a few pixels
multiple times a second. This happens continually, but the exact
subsecond spacing of the movement seems to

evolution shortcut groups appearing twice
Please disregard my last comment. The version of openoffice.org-l10n-
common, openoffice.org-l10n-de and openoffice.org-help-de didn't match
other openoffice.org packages on my system. Got 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu1 for
these packages with updates today and everything is fine now.

Hi,
As Lucid is now in Final Freeze period, it is very certainly too late
for an upstream update of usb-modeswitch for Lucid. It seems a no-go.
I created a PPA with Debian official backports for Lucid: ppa:odyx
/usb-modeswitch It will always contain the testing version.
