I have an HP Mini 5101 running xubuntu which I dist-upgraded from 9.10
to 10.04. I had the same problems described above (suspend on lid-close
worked in 9.10 but stopped working after upgrade) with xfc4-power-
manger. Under the "current" 10.04 kernel, as described above,

For the record, 2.3.0 has not migrated to testing since if has critical
bugs (it doesn't work on ARM). I don't know if Ubuntu cares [about ARM],
but I'd like to point that the new version in Debian has significant

Update on the issue:
Now startx also works with savage, I don't need to load savagefb
anymore.
So I installed xdm, and changed from kdm to xdm, and it worked.
So it's obviously an issue with KDM.
Also to note is the fact that the fatal error that sometimes appeared in
Xorg.0.log doesn't show up
Please add this patch. gzip has the -c option, but it just prints
everything to standard output, that is not enough.

I've got a simple solution for this problem: I've build a linux softraid
instead the fakeraid from the onboard chip. This brings me a lot of
pluses:
1. The PC boots faster because of the missing RAID-Bios-screen
2. The HDDs are working now with AHCI and can use their full performance
(NCQ etc)

I'm in the same situation as #27: upgraded phpldapadmin to
1.2.0.5-1ubuntu1.10.04.1, removed /etc/phpldapadmin/config.php, ran
dpkg-reconfigure phpldapadmin and got the same result.
My LDAP server was upgraded from Ubuntu 9.10, could that be part of the

it ships a newer point release of the same server branch.

GDM checks /var/cache/gdm/$USER/dmrc. for the default keyboard layout.
Gnome-control-center simply needs to write the change in default

I can reproduce this out of the box on my home network. I just bought a
WD MyBook World II 4TB NAS which supports CIFS.
1) connect NAS to network
2) open Places->Network
3) Click "Windows Network"
Expected result out of the box would be that the NAS shares appear and

Openoffice.org in karmic did not worked well either but no hard lock was
observed. It was unable to open nfs files R/W because it was always
reported nfs files are locked by 'unknown' (another known bug of ooo on
NFS).
