To me, all this absurd workarounds doesn't work.
It's absurd that gwibber needs the cookies and sessions info of my Firefox.

Binary package hint: tomboy
Tomboy won't run and crashes when the Tomboy applet is not on the panel. Adding
the applet solves the problem.
Here's the crash message:

Alternatively - can I run the sync on startup, only? Also, I wouldn't
mind a longer shutdown time because tomboy tries to sync be4 shutdown
(not sure, if that would work - depends on when tomboy/network is
shutdown and if the OS is waiting for orderly shutdown).

Actually, sync on startup doesn't make too much sense (its too hot
today). Sync on shutdown won't work properly, I guess. Too bad :-(

Never mind, it turned out that networking had simply been turned of
somehow (right click the network manager icon and click activate
network), probably part of an update that went wrong.
