I can confirm that the bug still exists on the mainline kernel build as
well. I tested with 3.1.0-0301rc10-generic. The workaround is functional
on this kernel image as well.

Multiple users hijack each others'
I experimented a bit more.
After removing libGL junk from /usr/lib32 and reinstalling ia32-libs, it seems
wine is now picking up a libGL.so.1 that actually works. Most likely, it's the
one from mesa (libgl1-mesa-glx). That one doesn't have this nasty XCB bug.
Is there a way to determine which lib
+1 Gforce 8600 GT - Kubuntu 11.10 - nvidia-current drivers. Can't even
move windows to next desktop, it goes back to previous one after the
flash!

I want the 32 bit distro installed - how do I do that with wubi. Wubi
does not give me an option to choose between the two distros.

I also suffer form this problem where update manager will install
updates upon clicking 'Install Updates' however this is done without
requesting the administrator password.
There is nothing special about my machine, just 11.10 upgraded from
