When running it from the terminal, this is the error I got after trying
to scan (it starts scanning and it shows the image being scanned, but

I just installed xsddiagram. The program runs and hangs as soon as I

My Radeon HD 6850 caused trouble with suspend to ram and crashed the system 1-2
times a week with [fglrx] asic hang happened in syslog, no matter which
driver and kernel I was using.
So I was fed up with ATI/AMD-Cards und removed it. Since then, with the i7
integrated graphics, there were no

with --debug, :-/ And regarding the priority, I really don't give a s***
about it :-) I personally do this in my free time, so at least for me,

For me, the bug appears at random (firefox 9, oneiric). Any menus only
stay open until I move the mouse; switching to another window and back
generally seems to stop it. I have noticed a couple of other things
that might be relevant, though.
Firstly, I use firefox's autoscroll feature
I discovered this bug when playing a game called Ballistic in Wine:

Try playing it in Wine under Unity, then logout and try it with Ubuntu

Aleksander: I have installed modem-manager 0.4 on my 11.10 system and it
works ok - a debug log is attached (it contains the sequence
connect/disconnect/connect)

On Ubuntu 11.04 Classic, when I take a window screenshot, Shutter
freezes. The tray icon is still visible but doesn't respond to any
left- or right-clicks. If start Shutter again, I get a window with all

The suggested symbolic link did not work for me under onieric x86_64.
Instead this link solves this problem:
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.6/libstdc++.so
/usr/lib/libstdc++.so
However, another bug then stops me from using the package.

Same problem here with the most recent mainline kernel 3.1.4 for oneiric
ocelot (11.10). While I do have a USB card reader attached,
disconnecting it does *not* influence the time gap at boot time.

I used system settings/user account to set up auto login. It worked fine,
untill I had to install a new package: when asked for the root password, it was
said as not valid (note that the auto login is for my session, which is also
administrator).
