No. From my point of view it a shame to duplicate functionalities
between modules. You can do everything you may want on your images in
Draw (or Gimp if you prefer). No need to modify
@Jean-Baptiste: Like cropping and resizing also rotating of images is
IMHO an absolute core functionality of a word processor.
However, in terms of duplication, you are absolutely right. If possible,
Writer should use the same code base for rotating images like Draw and
Impress do. Wasn't this
Writer is a text processor, not a drawing software.
You are right. But many people think that paint program is msWord. And now we
have many doc and docx files with rotated images. And expect that they will
open correctly.

Italian and I can't reproduce the crash.
Are you installing from the CD or using a usb stick? A quick look at

There is no synchronisation issue.
But there is just too much stuff to be done between the initial background
color and the actual background image is drawn.
There are 2 things that take longer than 0.2 seconds: launching Canberra and
playing the startup sound takes about 0.26 seconds and
Stéphane Graber made a suggestion to use 'umount -l', which should work
around this for now.

After suspend, trackpad stops working correctly. It reacts only if you
move your finger vertically and in that case it scrolls, like it would
if you would do it with two fingers. Also tapping on the surface

I am on Ubuntu12.04 64bit updated to 19.4.2012.(Host)
I have tried to attach a graphic card to a Ubuntu12.04 64bit guest. Fot
this I used virt-manager - Add hardware - PCI.
There are two entries for the HD Radeon 6450 in:
02:00:0 Caicos [Radeon HD6450]
02:00:1 Caicos HDMI
The RadeonHD6450 exists as seperate card on PCI-E. For the host itself
I use the onboard graphic Radeon HD3000.
