Regarding this bug. I followed the workaround but couldn't get it to
work. For me one step was missing. Here is what I did:

dongles on each of these computers, running latest 12.04.
On my desktop computer (Zotac amd64) I often need to unplug and replug

apport-collect 1016724 generates the output below and then hangs so I'm
not sure I can change the marking to complete. @jsalisbury I've never
tried to manually change kernel before so I'll wait until I have more
free time (probably tomorrow) so I can research how to do it properly
and safely before
I'm not sure why, but spice-xpi built on one distro doesn't work on
another. It's distributed as a package on Fedora, and as far as I can
tell, this is the only xpi offered in the Fedora repos.

files in /var/lib/mysql.
Strangely ibdata1 and ib_logfile1 were executable and contained bits of shell

Using ubuntu 12.04 with mainline kernel 3.5-rc3 works better. No more
disconnects even with powermgmt. Its not 100% perfect, but a lot better.

Hi!
The Aptcc backend in PackageKit saves the changelog to a predictable location
in /tmp. As packagekitd is running as root, bad people could just add a symlink
named like the file in /tmp (e.g. to /etc/shadow) to screw up the system.
I fixed this in Debian alread
I've just tried a rebuild of nux from the branch, and it is all good.
Can this be uploaded? Nux is one of the couple remaining packages needed to
remove boost << 1.49
Also nux/unity don't link against libboost so there shouldn't be unity rebuilds
required.

Marking Incomplete. Ubuntu Jaunty/9.04 reached EOL in October 2010. It
is not clear what changes are being proposed and whether they're still
applicable to versions of xubuntu-docs in modern versions of Ubuntu.
