Got some problems before with an Windows 8 installation (shut NIC down
forever!) but now it works perfectly.

I was able to boot with acpi=noacpi noot parameter.
On trying other options, I found that I was unable to boot with acpi=ht
But was able to boot with pci=noacpi

Seems to be (still) a problem on Nautilus 3.6.3: if you cancel a file copy, the
unfinished file is left over in the destination folder (without any indication
the file is not complete).
The upstram bug seems very old (targetting version 2.16.x), I'll try to reopen
it on the 3.x branch, and
