On Ubuntu 12.04.2 compiz let the system swap. Htop shows for compiz
VIRT(1663M) RES(110M) - my box has 6GB of RAM and never swap and now it
is already at 600 MB after an uptime of: 1 day, 24 min., uname -a
3.5.0-23-generic #35-precise1-Ubuntu SMP.

Finally after restart apport service, the bug do not apprear anymore.

I am using ubuntu 12.04 64bit with the latest updates and confirm this

Using Ubuntu 12.04. Instead of copying to the clipboard, use Edit, copy as
picture, save (to desktop for instance) then copy that file and paste into
LibreOffice.
BTW this bug has been present for a few years in Ubuntu and I have always had
to use the workaround suggested.

the crash, I really can not tell.
The directory path opened in Nautilus was:

There are loads of files I deposit here, as it is the default save
location for my browsers.
