I created a VM with Ubuntu Server 13.04 just for this bug. At first, I
was able to run the steps outlined above 50 times with no issues. What
was I missing? Concurrency! I rebooted the VM after adding 1 more core,
and... bingo! Zombies on the 3rd try.

In my case the bug with unclean shutdown happens only when my machine
(Thinkpad X230) is docked to the Thinkpad ultrabase when shutting it
down.
When I shutdown outside of a dock, everything is fine. I don't use
ureadahead (have SSD), doesn't matter if there are mounted network
filesystems or
I added radeon.audio=1 like this in /etc/default/grub:

With the 3.10.0-031000rc1-generic kernel the Internet wired connection
is not found, the eth0 doesn't exist and so You can connect only over
wifi.
The 3.5.0-28-generic is just fine :) .. with the wired and wifi

isc-dhcp-server upgrade shall instead ignore such an error like could not

@Michael: uploaded qtwebkit-opensource-src 5.0.1-0ubuntu3 which is
fixing the issue on bug #1171553 (trying to pull Qt4). For the tests, I
prefer we don't block on that (especially as it's a temporary solution)
and wait for the Qt5 expert, Timo, to be back to look at it.

fails to save credentials

1 week later, the bug has returned, no system error messages, just a
slow grind to a complete stop, sometimes after 5/10/ 15 mins of usage,
no matter which application is being used. No idea as to the cause
because nothing is recorded in any log that provides a clue.
